Additional information for a Playlist can be added, especially themes like holidays (Valentines, Halloween, New Year’s) as well as information for an individual song, for example, for Spinning a song might be used for a Sprint, Hill Climb or Jumps. Others who search the database can find music based on these and other keys.

Find others’ playlists using the Search function and use it yourself or modify it for your own needs. Origination and usage is tracked so you are acknowledged for what you create and become a respected Creator/curator and resource for your genre and industry.

Publish Playlists you created

Your customers, whether spinning students, club patrons or party guests can follow you and your music, provide feedback and make requests. You can also create a presence for yourself on MyFavTunes using the 1 page web bio that is searchable and connects to multiple social networks, creating a very useful marketing platform, especially if you are an independent business person.

Creating a new playlist is a simple matter of selecting songs and other criteria

Creation consists of selecting and deciding from pull down lists. This information can be used by other people who choose to use your playlist or songs in their own activities. A history of original creator and people who use it are maintained so you could become the “go to” person for your chosen activity or music genre.

With MyFavTunes you can search for playlists by genre, location, activity type, cadence and many other criteria. Users as well as Creators have access to this search capability.

Playing your Playlists

Below is an example of the functionality of a MyFavTunes built-in player designed with the instructor in mind. You can see the entire playlist, what is currently playing and see embedded notes that show what event is coming up, for example, in spinning the instructor may go from a jog to a sprint several times during a song. You can also adjust the brightness of your device screen and keep it lit during the class and avoid the annoying fumbling around when you have to access your device during class.

MyFavTunes will initially be built without a built-in player due to some streaming service’s concerns about royalty payment complexity and assurance. MyFavTunes will be working with both streaming service providers and royalty payment organizations to ensure MyFavTunes complies with all applicable laws. MyFavTunes will work with both groups to create an application and payment system that expands the number of legal royalty payers and increases revenues from music performance. This is a new paradigm which needs to be developed collaboratively.
